04 Jan Globe Tracker Appoints Rich Meyers as CEO
CEO change will continue momentum in reefer tracking and propel company growth into expanded markets.
Globe Tracker, ApS announced today that Rich Meyers has been appointed as the new CEO of the company. An industry veteran in container telematics and cargo tracking, Meyers will succeed Olavur Ellefsen, who has stepped down from the position.
Meyers has over 30 years experience in supply-chain, telecommunications, wireless, and satellite markets. He has been a key driver in the rapid development of almost every aspect of Globe Tracker during his five-year tenure as COO, during which period the company launched new innovations that on average more than tripled year-on-year revenues.
Based in the US, Meyers has served as CEO of three prior tech start-ups, two of which have exited as acquisitions by public corporations. During his career he has also led and supported a multitude of transactions in both M&A as well as equity and debt capital. Meyers has held past executive and senior technical positions in public companies including ORBCOMM, COMSAT, and Raytheon.

A graduate of M.I.T. in Electrical Engineering, Meyers is a prolific inventor several dozens of patents in wireless and supply chain technologies.
